Insurance Claim Process
Blue Wing Exteriors Work Procedure
(1) Initial Damage Consultation
Book your free consultation to identify any storm or property damage and get honest guidance on whether an insurance claim makes sense for your situation.
(2) Sign Contingency Agreement
This document authorizes Blue Wing Exteriors to act as your contractor and communicate directly with your insurance provider to ensure your claim accurately reflects the full scope of damage and the proper costs for repair or replacement.
(3) File Claim
If we determine that a claim is appropriate, the next step is to contact your insurance company to begin the process. We’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
(4) Field Adjuster Inspection
Once your claim is filed, your insurance company will schedule a field adjuster to inspect the damage to your property. It’s important to have your contractor present during this visit to ensure all damage is properly identified and documented.
(5) Recieve Claim & ACV Check
Your insurance company will issue a detailed report—referred to as the “Claim Paperwork”—outlining the repairs identified by the field adjuster. This claim will typically arrive by mail or email, along with a check for the actual cash value (ACV) of the approved repairs.
(6) Sign Contract
To begin the repair process, we’ll review and sign a clear, transparent contract along with a detailed scope of work that outlines all materials, colors, and project specifics—so you know exactly what to expect every step of the way.
(7) Supplement Claim
The supplement process allows your contractor to identify and document any missing items or inaccurate pricing in the original insurance claim. Blue Wing Exteriors handles this process on your behalf to ensure all necessary repairs are properly covered and fairly compensated.
(8) Schedule Work & Order Materials
Once the scope of work is finalized, we’ll schedule your installation and place the material orders—keeping you informed every step of the way to ensure a smooth and timely project.
(8) Deliver Materials & Pay Deposit
When materials are delivered, a Blue Wing Exteriors representative will be on-site to verify the delivery and ensure everything is correct. At that time, we’ll also request the pre-agreed deposit payment as outlined in your contract.
(9) Complete Construction & Final Inspection
All work is completed promptly and with a strong commitment to quality, following the exact specifications outlined in your contract. After completion, a final inspection is conducted by the local building authority to ensure every aspect of the project meets or exceeds code and craftsmanship standards.
(10) Close Out Contract & Pay Balance
At the end of the project, we conduct a final walk-through and contract review with you to ensure every detail has been completed to your satisfaction. Once everything meets your approval, the contract is officially complete and the final payment is collected.
